SKIPPER Plunges 7%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 2.4%

SKIPPER share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 449.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 68,593.5 (down 2.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Graphite India (down 5.8%) and GMR Infra (down 5.2%).

Over the last one year, SKIPPER has moved up from Rs 215.7 to Rs 449.0, registering a gain of Rs 233.3 (up 108.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 48,209.1 to 68,593.5, registering a gain of 42.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 112.9%), Siemens (up 98.5%) and BHEL (up 95.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,178.8 (down 0.6%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (down 4.1%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 3.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Axis Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,793.9 (down 0.9%). NTPC and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 81,178.8, registering a gain of 15,666.7 points (up 23.9%).

SKIPPER Financial Update...

SKIPPER net profit grew 125.3% YoY to Rs 316 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 140 million a year ago. Net sales rose 96.9% to Rs 10,917 million during the period as against Rs 5,546 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, SKIPPER reported 129.6% increase in net profit to Rs 817 million compared to net profit of Rs 356 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 65.7% to Rs 32,820 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SKIPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 55.0.
