SKIPPER Gains 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.6%

SKIPPER share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 378.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 74,171.4 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Finolex Cables (up 1.8%) and BHEL (up 1.3%).

V GUARD IND. (down 1.6%) and SKF India (down 1.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SKIPPER has moved up from Rs 154.8 to Rs 378.5, registering a gain of Rs 223.7 (up 144.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 40,540.3 to 74,171.4, registering a gain of 83.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 257.3%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 193.0%) and Bharat Electronics (up 156.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,247.1 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 2.1%) and Infosys (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,367.0 (up 0.3%). Tata Motors and Infosys are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,205.1 to 80,247.1, registering a gain of 15,042.1 points (up 23.1%).

SKIPPER Financial Update...

SKIPPER net profit grew 14.5% YoY to Rs 239 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 209 million a year ago. Net sales rose 75.5% to Rs 11,535 million during the period as against Rs 6,574 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, SKIPPER reported 41.4% increase in net profit to Rs 356 million compared to net profit of Rs 251 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 16.0% to Rs 19,803 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SKIPPER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 57.2.
