SHRIRAM EPC Plunges 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.6%

SHRIRAM EPC share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 29.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,584.9 (down 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are V GUARD IND. (down 1.8%) and Bharat Forge (down 1.8%).

Thermax (up 1.7%) and Carborundum Universal (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, SHRIRAM EPC has moved up from Rs 12.8 to Rs 29.3, registering a gain of Rs 16.5 (up 129.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 46,582.2 to 73,584.9, registering a gain of 58.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 127.6%), BHEL (up 124.0%) and Bharat Electronics (up 112.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 85,836.1 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Maruti Suzuki (up 4.5%) and Tata Motors (up 2.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,208.6 (up 0.8%). Maruti Suzuki and Grasim Industries are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.7 to 85,836.1, registering a gain of 19,812.4 points (up 30.0%).

SHRIRAM EPC Financial Update...

SHRIRAM EPC net profit grew 63.9% YoY to Rs 81 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 49 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.7% to Rs 1,758 million during the period as against Rs 1,433 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, SHRIRAM EPC reported 564.6% increase in net profit to Rs 228 million compared to net loss of Rs 49 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 48.1% to Rs 5,610 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SHRIRAM EPC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 176.7.
