SHRIRAM EPC Gains 8%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.4%

SHRIRAM EPC share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 20.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,065.6 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Thermax (up 3.6%) and Carborundum Universal (up 2.0%).

Lakshmi Machine (down 1.6%) and AIA Engineering (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SHRIRAM EPC has moved up from Rs 13.1 to Rs 20.4, registering a gain of Rs 7.3 (up 55.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 43,641.7 to 73,065.6, registering a gain of 67.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 194.1%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 148.0%) and Bharat Electronics (up 135.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,708.4 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (down 1.9%) and ICICI Bank (down 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,697.8 . Ultratech Cement and ICICI Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,216.1 to 80,708.4, registering a gain of 15,492.3 points (up 23.8%).

SHRIRAM EPC Financial Update...

SHRIRAM EPC net profit grew 63.9% YoY to Rs 81 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 49 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.7% to Rs 1,758 million during the period as against Rs 1,433 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, SHRIRAM EPC reported 98.1% increase in net profit to Rs -49 million compared to net loss of Rs 2,637 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 15.0% to Rs 3,788 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SHRIRAM EPC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 123.1.
