SHILCHAR ELE Plunges 4%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.8%

SHILCHAR ELE share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 5,374.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 73,864.4 (up 0.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are ABB (down 1.8%) and GRINDWELL NORTON (down 1.6%).

HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 5.2%) and V GUARD IND. (up 3.2%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, SHILCHAR ELE has moved up from Rs 935.2 to Rs 5,374.0, registering a gain of Rs 4,438.8 (up 474.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,514.1 to 73,864.4, registering a gain of 86.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 260.6%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 200.7%) and Bharat Electronics (up 161.0%).

The BSE Sensex is at 77,276.1 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Wipro (up 2.6%) and Titan (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,539.3 (up 0.3%). Wipro and Titan are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,143.2 to 77,276.1, registering a gain of 14,132.9 points (up 22.4%).

SHILCHAR ELE Financial Update...

SHILCHAR ELE net profit grew 53.7% YoY to Rs 250 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 163 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.0% to Rs 1,054 million during the period as against Rs 950 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, SHILCHAR ELE reported 207.1% increase in net profit to Rs 431 million compared to net profit of Rs 140 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 55.5% to Rs 2,802 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SHILCHAR ELE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 44.6.
