Reliance Power Gains 5%; BSE POWER Index Up 2.1%

Reliance Power share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 43.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,911.9 (up 2.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (up 5.3%) and BHEL (up 5.2%).

Over the last one year, Reliance Power has moved up from Rs 19.3 to Rs 43.5, registering a gain of Rs 24.2 (up 125.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,516.5 to 7,911.9, registering a gain of 75.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 138.1%), Siemens (up 110.1%) and BHEL (up 90.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,371.3 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 4.4%) and HCl Tech. (up 4.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,484.0 (up 1.1%). Bharat Electronics and TCS are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,958.7 to 80,371.3, registering a gain of 15,412.6 points (up 23.7%).

Reliance Power Financial Update...

Reliance Power net profit grew 66.5% YoY to Rs -983 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 2,937 million a year ago. Net sales rose 4.1% to Rs 19,922 million during the period as against Rs 19,143 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Reliance Power reported 553.9% decrease in net profit to Rs -22,422 million compared to net loss of Rs 3,429 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 5.0% to Rs 78,926 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Power, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -8.5.
