Reliance Infra Plunges 4%; BSE POWER Index Up 1.9%

Reliance Infra share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 197.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,972.2 (up 1.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are NHPC (down 0.6%) and ADANI POWER (down 0.4%).

Thermax (up 6.3%) and ABB (up 3.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Reliance Infra has moved up from Rs 140.0 to Rs 197.4, registering a gain of Rs 57.4 (up 41.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 3,949.4 to 7,972.2, registering a gain of 101.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 255.4%), ADANI POWER (up 186.1%) and Thermax (up 146.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,245.0 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 5.3%) and NTPC (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,036.1 (up 0.7%). Ultratech Cement and LTIMINDTREE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 79,245.0, registering a gain of 16,275.0 points (up 25.8%).

Reliance Infra Financial Update...

Reliance Infra net profit grew 99.8% YoY to Rs -54 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 25,642 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.9% to Rs 46,860 million during the period as against Rs 41,863 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Reliance Infra reported 264.3% decrease in net profit to Rs -24,730 million compared to net loss of Rs 6,788 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 12.4% to Rs 213,396 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Infra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -12.1.
