Reliance Infra Gains 8%; BSE POWER Index Up 1.1%

Reliance Infra share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 307.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,428.3 (up 1.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are INDIAN ENERGY EXCHANGE (up 3.2%) and BHEL (up 3.0%).

KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 4.3%) and Thermax (down 2.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Reliance Infra has moved up from Rs 177.0 to Rs 307.5, registering a gain of Rs 130.5 (up 73.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,664.3 to 8,428.3, registering a gain of 80.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 159.6%), BHEL (up 109.4%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 97.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,410.4 (up 1.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (up 4.9%) and JSW Steel (up 3.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,768.5 (up 1.4%). M&M and JSW Steel are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,596.8 to 84,410.4, registering a gain of 16,813.5 points (up 24.9%).

Reliance Infra Financial Update...

Reliance Infra net profit grew 86.0% YoY to Rs -695 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 4,948 million a year ago. Net sales rose 28.7% to Rs 71,928 million during the period as against Rs 55,905 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Reliance Infra reported 73.9% increase in net profit to Rs -6,456 million compared to net loss of Rs 24,730 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 6.4% to Rs 228,046 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Infra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -55.3.
