Reliance Infra Gains 5%; BSE POWER Index Down 1.6%

Reliance Infra share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 272.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,253.4 (down 1.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are Thermax (up 4.2%) and BHEL (up 0.8%).

ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 7.2%) and ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (down 3.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Reliance Infra has moved up from Rs 174.7 to Rs 272.4, registering a gain of Rs 97.7 (up 55.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,721.2 to 7,253.4, registering a gain of 53.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were Siemens (up 104.4%), TORRENT POWER (up 98.1%) and Thermax (up 77.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,004.1 (down 0.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (down 3.1%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 3.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,193.0 (down 0.1%). Adani Enterprises and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,023.2 to 80,004.1, registering a gain of 13,980.8 points (up 21.2%).

Reliance Infra Financial Update...

Reliance Infra net profit grew 2950.7% YoY to Rs 35,272 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 1,237 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.5% to Rs 72,585 million during the period as against Rs 71,526 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Reliance Infra reported 73.9% increase in net profit to Rs -6,456 million compared to net loss of Rs 24,730 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 6.4% to Rs 228,046 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Infra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 3.1.
