Reliance Infra Gains 4%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.9%

Reliance Infra share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 216.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,514.4 (up 0.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (up 11.1%) and Power Grid Corp. (up 3.8%).

BHEL (down 2.2%) and ABB (down 2.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Reliance Infra has moved up from Rs 188.9 to Rs 216.1, registering a gain of Rs 27.3 (up 14.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,379.7 to 8,514.4, registering a gain of 94.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 196.4%), TORRENT POWER (up 172.0%) and ADANI POWER (up 170.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,867.6 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 3.8%) and HDFC Bank (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Power Grid Corp..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,006.0 (up 0.2%). Power Grid Corp. and Coal India are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,867.6, registering a gain of 15,339.9 points (up 23.1%).

Reliance Infra Financial Update...

Reliance Infra net profit grew 99.8% YoY to Rs -54 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 25,642 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.9% to Rs 46,860 million during the period as against Rs 41,863 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Reliance Infra reported 73.9% increase in net profit to Rs -6,456 million compared to net loss of Rs 24,730 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 6.4% to Rs 228,046 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Infra, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -13.3.
