Reliance Ind. Gains 2%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Up 0.6%

Reliance Ind. share price has zoomed 2% and is presently trading at Rs 2,969.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 28,688.0 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are ADANI TOTAL GAS (up 1.5%) and GUJARAT GAS (up 1.3%).

GAIL (down 1.3%) and Petronet LNG (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Reliance Ind. has moved up from Rs 2,494.2 to Rs 2,969.0, registering a gain of Rs 474.8 (up 19.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 17,956.4 to 28,688.0, registering a gain of 59.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were GAIL (up 100.7%), HPCL (up 85.8%) and IOC (up 84.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,542.8 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 3.3%) and Indusind Bank (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ICICI Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,843.1 (up 0.5%). Ultratech Cement and BPCL are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 78,542.8, registering a gain of 15,572.8 points (up 24.7%).

Reliance Ind. Financial Update...

Reliance Ind. net profit fell 0.3% YoY to Rs 211,430 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 212,060 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.3% to Rs 2,407,150 million during the period as against Rs 2,162,650 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Reliance Ind. reported 11.3% increase in net profit to Rs 736,700 million compared to net profit of Rs 661,840 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 29.4% to Rs 7,808,060 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Ind., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 25.5.
