Praj Industries Gains 8%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.7%

Praj Industries share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 684.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 71,840.6 (up 1.7%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Siemens (up 4.3%) and HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 3.3%).

ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 1.6%) and Thermax (down 0.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Praj Industries has moved up from Rs 387.8 to Rs 684.1, registering a gain of Rs 296.3 (up 76.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,203.6 to 71,840.6, registering a gain of 83.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 250.8%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 174.0%) and Bharat Electronics (up 149.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,828.9 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Titan (up 2.6%) and M&M (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,400.8 (up 0.3%). Shriram Transport and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,724.7 to 76,828.9, registering a gain of 14,104.2 points (up 22.5%).

Praj Industries Financial Update...

Praj Industries net profit grew 4.3% YoY to Rs 919 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 881 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.5% to Rs 10,186 million during the period as against Rs 10,040 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Praj Industries reported 59.6% increase in net profit to Rs 2,398 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,502 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 61.1% to Rs 35,818 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Praj Industries, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 44.4.
