Praj Industries Gains 7%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.3%

Praj Industries share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 727.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 72,443.5 (down 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are SCHAEFFLER INDIA (up 2.4%) and AIA Engineering (up 2.1%).

GMR Infra (down 2.5%) and Siemens (down 1.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Praj Industries has moved up from Rs 370.0 to Rs 727.1, registering a gain of Rs 357.1 (up 96.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,563.3 to 72,443.5, registering a gain of 83.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 261.6%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 184.7%) and Bharat Electronics (up 150.2%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,287.7 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 2.4%) and Reliance Ind. (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,066.7 (up 0.1%). Dr. Reddys and ONGC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 79,287.7, registering a gain of 16,317.7 points (up 25.9%).

Praj Industries Financial Update...

Praj Industries net profit grew 4.3% YoY to Rs 919 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 881 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.5% to Rs 10,186 million during the period as against Rs 10,040 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Praj Industries reported 59.6% increase in net profit to Rs 2,398 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,502 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 61.1% to Rs 35,818 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Praj Industries, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 47.2.
