Praj Industries Gains 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 1.3%

Praj Industries share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 652.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 70,751.2 (up 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Carborundum Universal (up 4.4%) and Honeywell Automation (up 2.8%).

TIMKEN INDIA (down 2.3%) and AIA Engineering (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Praj Industries has moved up from Rs 387.8 to Rs 652.3, registering a gain of Rs 264.5 (up 68.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 39,203.6 to 70,751.2, registering a gain of 80.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 246.0%), HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 165.6%) and Bharat Electronics (up 145.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,942.3 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (up 1.4%) and HCl Tech. (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,388.5 (up 0.5%). Coal India and BPCL are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,724.7 to 76,942.3, registering a gain of 14,217.6 points (up 22.7%).

Praj Industries Financial Update...

Praj Industries net profit grew 4.3% YoY to Rs 919 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 881 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.5% to Rs 10,186 million during the period as against Rs 10,040 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Praj Industries reported 59.6% increase in net profit to Rs 2,398 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,502 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 61.1% to Rs 35,818 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Praj Industries, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 42.3.
