Pfizer share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 4,893.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 38,500.4 (up 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are KIMS (up 2.7%) and GSK Pharma (up 1.9%).

ALKEM LABORATORIES (down 1.0%) and METROPOLIS HEALTHCARE (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Pfizer has moved up from Rs 3,792.8 to Rs 4,893.8, registering a gain of Rs 1,101.0 (up 29.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 25,922.2 to 38,500.4, registering a gain of 48.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Glenmark Pharma (up 103.4%), Lupin (up 102.1%) and Cadila Healthcare (up 99.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,223.3 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (down 4.3%) and Kotak Bank (down 0.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,411.8 (down 0.1%). M&M and TATA STEEL 2% CCPS are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 80,223.3, registering a gain of 14,879.1 points (up 22.8%).

Pfizer Financial Update...

Pfizer net profit grew 38.0% YoY to Rs 1,789 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,297 million a year ago. Net sales declined 4.5% to Rs 5,466 million during the period as against Rs 5,726 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Pfizer reported 1.9% increase in net profit to Rs 6,239 million compared to net profit of Rs 6,126 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 7.1% to Rs 24,248 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Pfizer, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 40.6.
