Petronet LNG Gains 5%; BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 0.8%

Petronet LNG share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 357.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 31,352.0 (down 0.8%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are GAIL (up 1.3%) and ONGC (up 1.1%).

BPCL (down 3.5%) and HPCL (down 3.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Petronet LNG has moved up from Rs 239.2 to Rs 357.8, registering a gain of Rs 118.7 (up 49.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 18,778.0 to 31,352.0, registering a gain of 67.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 153.3%), BPCL (up 108.1%) and GAIL (up 95.7%).

The BSE Sensex is at 83,355.5 (down 1.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (down 4.2%) and Tata Motors (down 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Reliance Ind..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,505.2 (down 1.1%). Asian Paints and Eicher Motor are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 83,355.5, registering a gain of 17,843.4 points (up 27.2%).

Petronet LNG Financial Update...

Petronet LNG net profit grew 39.7% YoY to Rs 11,008 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 7,877 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.1% to Rs 134,151 million during the period as against Rs 116,564 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Petronet LNG reported 10.6% increase in net profit to Rs 35,270 million compared to net profit of Rs 31,878 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 12.0% to Rs 527,293 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Petronet LNG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.0.
