PRAKASH INDUSTRIES share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 182.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 58,643.1 (down 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (down 5.3%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (down 4.6%).

Titan (up 0.9%) and ORIENT ELECTRIC (up 0.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PRAKASH INDUSTRIES has moved up from Rs 81.2 to Rs 182.8, registering a gain of Rs 101.6 (up 125.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 42,838.6 to 58,643.1, registering a gain of 36.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 176.2%), Blue Star (up 113.3%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 96.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,376.4 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 3.3%) and Bajaj Finserv (up 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,796.9 (up 0.8%). TCS and LTIMINDTREE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,589.9 to 81,376.4, registering a gain of 14,786.4 points (up 22.2%).

PRAKASH INDUSTRIES Financial Update...

PRAKASH INDUSTRIES net profit grew 53.2% YoY to Rs 888 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 580 million a year ago. Net sales declined 11.9% to Rs 8,904 million during the period as against Rs 10,105 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, PRAKASH INDUSTRIES reported 12.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,905 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,687 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 12.3% to Rs 34,438 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PRAKASH INDUSTRIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 9.4.
