PRAKASH INDUSTRIES share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 192.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 58,740.3 (down 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are Blue Star (down 4.9%) and CROMPTON GREAVES CONSUMER ELEC. (down 2.3%).

RAJESH EXPORTS (up 12.4%) and Titan (up 0.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PRAKASH INDUSTRIES has moved up from Rs 77.0 to Rs 192.5, registering a gain of Rs 115.5 (up 150.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 42,725.6 to 58,740.3, registering a gain of 37.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 191.1%), Blue Star (up 122.6%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 105.8%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,619.6 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are M&M (down 6.6%) and HCl Tech. (down 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,217.1 (down 0.9%). M&M and HCl Tech. are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 79,619.6, registering a gain of 14,275.4 points (up 21.8%).

PRAKASH INDUSTRIES Financial Update...

PRAKASH INDUSTRIES net profit grew 53.2% YoY to Rs 888 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 580 million a year ago. Net sales declined 11.9% to Rs 8,904 million during the period as against Rs 10,105 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, PRAKASH INDUSTRIES reported 12.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,905 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,687 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 12.3% to Rs 34,438 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PRAKASH INDUSTRIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 9.9.
