PRAKASH INDUSTRIES share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 197.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index is at 59,424.2 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index today are DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 2.6%) and ORIENT ELECTRIC (up 2.5%).

WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA (down 0.2%) and Titan (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, PRAKASH INDUSTRIES has moved up from Rs 76.8 to Rs 197.2, registering a gain of Rs 120.4 (up 156.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index has moved up from 42,765.2 to 59,424.2, registering a gain of 39.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES index stocks during this same period were DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 194.6%), Blue Star (up 110.7%) and AMBER ENTERPRISES INDIA (up 101.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,888.5 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are HDFC Bank (up 3.2%) and Axis Bank (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,265.5 (up 0.6%). HDFC Bank and Tata Consumer Products are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,205.1 to 79,888.5, registering a gain of 14,683.5 points (up 22.5%).

PRAKASH INDUSTRIES Financial Update...

PRAKASH INDUSTRIES net profit grew 53.2% YoY to Rs 888 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 580 million a year ago. Net sales declined 11.9% to Rs 8,904 million during the period as against Rs 10,105 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, PRAKASH INDUSTRIES reported 12.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,905 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,687 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 12.3% to Rs 34,438 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PRAKASH INDUSTRIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.1.
