P&G Hygiene Gains 4%; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.2%

P&G Hygiene share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 16,666.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 20,519.4 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG index today are Tata Coffee (up 3.6%) and UNITED BREWERIES (up 1.7%).

Godrej Consumer (down 3.6%) and Shree Renuka Sugars (down 3.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, P&G Hygiene has moved up from Rs 14,401.1 to Rs 16,666.5, registering a gain of Rs 2,265.4 (up 15.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,497.6 to 20,519.4, registering a gain of 10.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 163.8%), JYOTHY LABS (up 91.1%) and BOM.BURMAH (up 84.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,245.0 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 5.3%) and NTPC (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,036.1 (up 0.7%). Ultratech Cement and LTIMINDTREE are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 79,245.0, registering a gain of 16,275.0 points (up 25.8%).

P&G Hygiene Financial Update...

P&G Hygiene net profit fell 6.5% YoY to Rs 1,544 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,650 million a year ago. Net sales rose 13.5% to Rs 10,022 million during the period as against Rs 8,831 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended June 2023, P&G Hygiene reported 17.8% increase in net profit to Rs 6,781 million compared to net profit of Rs 5,758 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 0.4% to Rs 39,179 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of P&G Hygiene, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 72.6.
