PG Electroplast Plunges 6%; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.7%

PG Electroplast share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 558.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG index is at 21,434.6 (up 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG index today are BOM.BURMAH (down 5.9%) and Colgate (down 4.4%).

ITC (up 2.8%) and Godrej Consumer (up 2.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PG Electroplast has moved up from Rs 204.7 to Rs 558.7, registering a gain of Rs 354.0 (up 172.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG index has moved up from 18,541.7 to 21,434.6, registering a gain of 15.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG index stocks during this same period were Godfrey Phillips (up 207.0%), RADICO KHAITAN (up 94.8%) and BOM.BURMAH (up 85.0%).

The BSE Sensex is at 79,343.6 (down 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Indusind Bank (down 19.4%) and M&M (down 4.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Indusind Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,101.5 (down 1.2%). Indusind Bank and M&M are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 79,343.6, registering a gain of 14,771.7 points (up 22.9%).

PG Electroplast Financial Update...

PG Electroplast net profit grew 151.2% YoY to Rs 849 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 338 million a year ago. Net sales rose 94.9% to Rs 13,207 million during the period as against Rs 6,776 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, PG Electroplast reported 76.9% increase in net profit to Rs 1,370 million compared to net profit of Rs 775 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 27.2% to Rs 27,465 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PG Electroplast, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 77.7.
