Omaxe Plunges 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 1.9%

Omaxe share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 144.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,378.1 (down 1.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are PRESTIGE ESTATES (down 3.2%) and OBEROI REALTY (down 2.3%).

MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 0.4%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 0.2%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Omaxe has moved up from Rs 47.1 to Rs 144.6, registering a gain of Rs 97.5 (up 206.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,536.1 to 8,378.1, registering a gain of 84.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 198.9%), Sobha (up 196.0%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 112.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,787.0 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 3.0%) and NTPC (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,990.6 (up 0.2%). Coal India and Power Grid Corp. are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,787.0, registering a gain of 15,259.3 points (up 22.9%).

Omaxe Financial Update...

Omaxe net profit fell 37.7% YoY to Rs -1,437 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 1,044 million a year ago. Net sales rose 85.0% to Rs 5,356 million during the period as against Rs 2,895 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Omaxe reported 117.2% decrease in net profit to Rs -3,511 million compared to net loss of Rs 1,617 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 25.2% to Rs 7,733 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Omaxe, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -6.5.
