Omaxe Plunges 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 0.1%

Omaxe share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 124.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,951.7 (down 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Godrej Properties (down 1.5%) and Sobha (down 1.4%).

PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 2.1%) and SUNTECK REALTY (up 1.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Omaxe has moved up from Rs 47.0 to Rs 124.0, registering a gain of Rs 77.0 (up 163.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,341.4 to 7,951.7, registering a gain of 83.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 188.6%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 187.6%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 102.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,177.5 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Infosys (down 2.2%) and Asian Paints (down 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,197.2 (down 0.4%). BPCL and Infosys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,953.5 to 79,177.5, registering a gain of 13,224.0 points (up 20.1%).

Omaxe Financial Update...

Omaxe net profit fell 37.7% YoY to Rs -1,437 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 1,044 million a year ago. Net sales rose 85.0% to Rs 5,356 million during the period as against Rs 2,895 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Omaxe reported 117.2% decrease in net profit to Rs -3,511 million compared to net loss of Rs 1,617 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 25.2% to Rs 7,733 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Omaxe, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -5.6.
