Oil India share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 585.8.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 30,961.1 .

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are Reliance Ind. (up 1.0%) and ONGC (up 0.8%).

IOC (down 4.2%) and HPCL (down 2.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Oil India has moved up from Rs 170.0 to Rs 585.8, registering a gain of Rs 415.8 (up 244.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 19,003.7 to 30,961.1, registering a gain of 62.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were GAIL (up 109.6%), ONGC (up 88.7%) and HPCL (up 72.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,709.1 (up 1.0%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 6.8%) and Infosys (up 3.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,561.1 (up 1.0%). TCS and Wipro are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,344.2 to 80,709.1, registering a gain of 15,364.9 points (up 23.5%).

Oil India Financial Update...

Oil India net profit fell 9.5% YoY to Rs 19,738 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 21,807 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.9% to Rs 101,658 million during the period as against Rs 87,677 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Oil India reported 46.7% increase in net profit to Rs 98,544 million compared to net profit of Rs 67,192 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 42.9% to Rs 311,558 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Oil India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.6.
