Oil India share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 599.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS index is at 32,755.0 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS index today are ADANI TOTAL GAS (up 2.2%) and ONGC (up 1.9%).

GUJARAT GAS (down 3.0%) and GAIL (down 1.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Oil India has moved up from Rs 183.8 to Rs 599.0, registering a gain of Rs 415.1 (up 225.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE OIL & GAS index has moved up from 19,424.1 to 32,755.0, registering a gain of 68.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS index stocks during this same period were HPCL (up 107.7%), GAIL (up 100.4%) and ONGC (up 92.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,867.6 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 3.8%) and HDFC Bank (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Power Grid Corp..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,006.0 (up 0.2%). Power Grid Corp. and Coal India are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,527.7 to 81,867.6, registering a gain of 15,339.9 points (up 23.1%).

Oil India Financial Update...

Oil India net profit fell 9.5% YoY to Rs 19,738 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 21,807 million a year ago. Net sales rose 15.9% to Rs 101,658 million during the period as against Rs 87,677 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Oil India reported 46.7% increase in net profit to Rs 98,544 million compared to net profit of Rs 67,192 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 42.9% to Rs 311,558 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Oil India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.9.
