OM METALS INFRA Plunges 7%; BSE METAL Index Down 0.1%

OM METALS INFRA share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 127.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 29,744.9 (down 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are APOLLO TUBES (down 2.6%) and NMDC (down 1.5%).

Hindalco (up 1.2%) and Tata Steel (up 0.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, OM METALS INFRA has moved up from Rs 118.3 to Rs 127.1, registering a gain of Rs 8.7 (up 7.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 23,749.1 to 29,744.9, registering a gain of 25.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 84.9%), Hindustan Zinc (up 59.6%) and Jindal Steel (up 34.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,198.5 (down 0.5%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 13.6%) and NTPC (down 2.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,349.4 (down 0.7%). Adani Enterprises and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,655.2 to 77,198.5, registering a gain of 11,543.4 points (up 17.6%).

OM METALS INFRA Financial Update...

OM METALS INFRA net profit fell 83.4% YoY to Rs 39 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 236 million a year ago. Net sales declined 14.8% to Rs 2,384 million during the period as against Rs 2,798 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, OM METALS INFRA reported 262.2% increase in net profit to Rs 471 million compared to net profit of Rs 130 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 39.4% to Rs 11,138 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of OM METALS INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 47.5.
