National Buildings Plunges 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 4.3%

National Buildings share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 172.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,206.6 (down 4.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Godrej Properties (down 5.4%) and DLF (down 5.1%).

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 58.3 to Rs 172.0, registering a gain of Rs 113.8 (up 195.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,625.6 to 8,206.6, registering a gain of 77.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 187.2%), Sobha (up 160.8%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 135.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,510.4 (down 2.1%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Asian Paints (down 4.4%) and Maruti Suzuki (down 4.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Reliance Ind..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,255.2 (down 2.1%). BPCL and IOC are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 82,510.4, registering a gain of 16,998.3 points (up 25.9%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 38.4% YoY to Rs 1,072 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 775 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.3% to Rs 21,442 million during the period as against Rs 19,261 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, National Buildings reported 49.1% increase in net profit to Rs 4,144 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,780 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.5% to Rs 104,326 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 69.7.
