National Buildings Plunges 4%; BSE REALTY Index Down 2.6%

National Buildings share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 98.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,857.5 (down 2.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Phoenix Mill (down 4.6%) and SUNTECK REALTY (down 3.6%).

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 43.1 to Rs 98.0, registering a gain of Rs 54.9 (up 127.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,846.7 to 7,857.5, registering a gain of 62.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 132.4%), Sobha (up 123.3%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 96.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,968.0 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Tata Motors (down 2.0%) and Tata Steel (down 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,719.8 (down 0.3%). Tata Motors and Tata Steel are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,877.0 to 80,968.0, registering a gain of 15,091.0 points (up 22.9%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 38.4% YoY to Rs 1,072 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 775 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.8% to Rs 21,442 million during the period as against Rs 19,179 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, National Buildings reported 49.1% increase in net profit to Rs 4,144 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,780 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.5% to Rs 104,326 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 59.6.
