National Buildings Plunges 31%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.9%

National Buildings share price has plunged 31% and is presently trading at Rs 116.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,126.1 (up 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (down 3.7%) and Sobha (down 2.4%).

Brigade Enterprises (up 1.7%) and Godrej Properties (up 1.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 58.3 to Rs 116.5, registering a gain of Rs 58.2 (up 99.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,625.6 to 8,126.1, registering a gain of 75.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 179.6%), Sobha (up 158.0%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 139.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 82,019.7 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ITC (up 1.5%) and HCl Tech. (up 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,103.6 (up 0.4%). Shriram Transport and Trent are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,512.1 to 82,019.7, registering a gain of 16,507.6 points (up 25.2%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 38.4% YoY to Rs 1,072 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 775 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.3% to Rs 21,442 million during the period as against Rs 19,261 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, National Buildings reported 49.1% increase in net profit to Rs 4,144 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,780 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.5% to Rs 104,326 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 47.2.
