National Buildings Gains 8%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.6%

National Buildings share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 179.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,749.0 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Sobha (up 3.7%) and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 2.2%).

SUNTECK REALTY (down 0.8%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 39.3 to Rs 179.4, registering a gain of Rs 140.1 (up 356.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,196.4 to 8,749.0, registering a gain of 108.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 283.8%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 213.5%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 147.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,110.5 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are HCl Tech. (up 3.3%) and Sun Pharma (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,340.1 (up 0.2%). HCl Tech. and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,205.1 to 80,110.5, registering a gain of 14,905.5 points (up 22.9%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 24.3% YoY to Rs 1,414 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,137 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.0% to Rs 40,245 million during the period as against Rs 28,134 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, National Buildings reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 2,780 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,379 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 87,544 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 78.0.
