National Buildings Gains 7%; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.3%

National Buildings share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 152.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,582.1 (up 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 3.2%) and PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 2.5%).

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 42.6 to Rs 152.9, registering a gain of Rs 110.3 (up 259.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,051.3 to 8,582.1, registering a gain of 111.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 279.6%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 258.7%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 142.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 76,700.4 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are L&T (up 2.2%) and Tata Motors (up 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,340.6 (up 0.4%). ONGC and L&T are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,143.0 to 76,700.4, registering a gain of 13,557.4 points (up 21.5%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 24.3% YoY to Rs 1,414 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,137 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.0% to Rs 40,245 million during the period as against Rs 28,134 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, National Buildings reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 2,780 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,379 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 87,544 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 66.4.
