National Buildings Gains 5%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.4%

National Buildings share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 98.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 7,862.6 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 2.9%) and Sobha (up 2.7%).

OBEROI REALTY (down 1.1%) and Godrej Properties (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 44.7 to Rs 98.3, registering a gain of Rs 53.5 (up 119.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,714.3 to 7,862.6, registering a gain of 66.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 131.7%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 114.9%) and Brigade Enterprises (up 94.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,085.0 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (down 1.8%) and ICICI Bank (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,394.8 (down 0.3%). Cipla and Dr. Reddys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,112.7 to 80,085.0, registering a gain of 15,972.4 points (up 24.9%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 38.4% YoY to Rs 1,072 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 775 million a year ago. Net sales rose 11.8% to Rs 21,442 million during the period as against Rs 19,179 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, National Buildings reported 49.1% increase in net profit to Rs 4,144 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,780 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.5% to Rs 104,326 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 59.7.
