National Buildings Gains 5%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.2%

National Buildings share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 169.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,697.8 (up 0.2%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Phoenix Mill (up 2.1%) and DLF (up 1.2%).

Sobha (down 2.4%) and PRESTIGE ESTATES (down 2.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 39.3 to Rs 169.4, registering a gain of Rs 130.0 (up 330.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,196.4 to 8,697.8, registering a gain of 107.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 269.0%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 212.6%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 148.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,010.5 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 2.6%) and Kotak Bank (up 2.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,293.4 (up 0.7%). Tata Consumer Products and Kotak Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,205.1 to 80,010.5, registering a gain of 14,805.4 points (up 22.7%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 24.3% YoY to Rs 1,414 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,137 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.0% to Rs 40,245 million during the period as against Rs 28,134 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, National Buildings reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 2,780 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,379 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 87,544 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 73.6.
