National Buildings Gains 4%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.9%

National Buildings share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 162.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,676.6 (up 0.9%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are Godrej Properties (up 4.1%) and Sobha (up 3.9%).

SUNTECK REALTY (down 2.0%) and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 38.5 to Rs 162.6, registering a gain of Rs 124.0 (up 322.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,140.6 to 8,676.6, registering a gain of 109.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 284.7%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 218.9%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 157.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,441.5 .

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 2.4%) and Bharti Airtel (down 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,117.8 (down 0.1%). Shriram Transport and Kotak Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,915.4 to 79,441.5, registering a gain of 15,526.0 points (up 24.3%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 24.3% YoY to Rs 1,414 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,137 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.0% to Rs 40,245 million during the period as against Rs 28,134 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, National Buildings reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 2,780 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,379 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 87,544 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 70.6.
