National Buildings Gains 4%; BSE REALTY Index Up 0.1%

National Buildings share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 179.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY index is at 8,565.2 (up 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE REALTY index today are OBEROI REALTY (up 5.0%) and DLF (up 2.0%).

Phoenix Mill (down 4.1%) and Sobha (down 1.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, National Buildings has moved up from Rs 41.6 to Rs 179.2, registering a gain of Rs 137.6 (up 330.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY index has moved up from 4,281.2 to 8,565.2, registering a gain of 100.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY index stocks during this same period were Sobha (up 234.3%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 215.2%) and Phoenix Mill (up 130.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,786.9 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 2.8%) and HDFC Bank (up 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,572.3 (up 0.2%). BPCL and NTPC are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,795.1 to 80,786.9, registering a gain of 13,991.8 points (up 20.9%).

National Buildings Financial Update...

National Buildings net profit grew 24.3% YoY to Rs 1,414 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 1,137 million a year ago. Net sales rose 43.0% to Rs 40,245 million during the period as against Rs 28,134 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, National Buildings reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 2,780 million compared to net profit of Rs 2,379 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 87,544 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of National Buildings, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 77.9.
