NLC India Gains 7%; BSE POWER Index Down 1.3%

NLC India share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 251.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,217.5 (down 1.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are Power Grid Corp. (up 3.6%) and ABB (up 1.1%).

ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (down 20.0%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 18.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, NLC India has moved up from Rs 167.8 to Rs 251.7, registering a gain of Rs 83.9 (up 50.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,654.7 to 7,217.5, registering a gain of 55.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were TORRENT POWER (up 91.6%), Siemens (up 85.1%) and KEC INTERNATIONAL (up 65.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,162.3 (down 0.5%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 13.6%) and NTPC (down 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,349.4 (down 0.7%). Adani Enterprises and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,655.2 to 77,162.3, registering a gain of 11,507.1 points (up 17.5%).

NLC India Financial Update...

NLC India net profit fell 9.5% YoY to Rs 9,824 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 10,859 million a year ago. Net sales rose 22.8% to Rs 36,573 million during the period as against Rs 29,775 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, NLC India reported 31.0% increase in net profit to Rs 18,673 million compared to net profit of Rs 14,251 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 19.6% to Rs 129,990 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NLC India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 18.2.
