NLC India Gains 4%; BSE POWER Index Up 1.6%

NLC India share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 264.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,216.1 (up 1.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are ABB (up 4.8%) and BHEL (up 4.0%).

Tata Power (down 1.6%) is among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, NLC India has moved up from Rs 120.0 to Rs 264.5, registering a gain of Rs 144.6 (up 120.5%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,239.8 to 8,216.1, registering a gain of 93.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 209.6%), TORRENT POWER (up 171.4%) and ADANI POWER (up 155.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,245.2 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 3.1%) and JSW Steel (up 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,226.2 (up 1.0%). ONGC and Coal India are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,953.5 to 79,245.2, registering a gain of 13,291.7 points (up 20.2%).

NLC India Financial Update...

NLC India net profit fell 86.4% YoY to Rs 1,138 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 8,366 million a year ago. Net sales declined 31.0% to Rs 35,406 million during the period as against Rs 51,340 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, NLC India reported 27.8% increase in net profit to Rs 14,251 million compared to net profit of Rs 11,151 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 35.3% to Rs 161,652 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NLC India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.6.
