NLC India Gains 3%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.4%

NLC India share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 247.9.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,856.2 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are KEC INTERNATIONAL (up 4.7%) and ABB (up 1.3%).

ADANI POWER (down 0.7%) and Thermax (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, NLC India has moved up from Rs 98.0 to Rs 247.9, registering a gain of Rs 149.9 (up 152.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 3,949.4 to 7,856.2, registering a gain of 98.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 256.3%), ADANI POWER (up 185.1%) and TORRENT POWER (up 140.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,895.0 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Ultratech Cement (up 2.8%) and JSW Steel (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and M&M.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,919.1 (up 0.2%). Ultratech Cement and JSW Steel are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 78,895.0, registering a gain of 15,925.0 points (up 25.3%).

NLC India Financial Update...

NLC India net profit fell 86.4% YoY to Rs 1,138 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 8,366 million a year ago. Net sales declined 31.0% to Rs 35,406 million during the period as against Rs 51,340 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, NLC India reported 27.8% increase in net profit to Rs 14,251 million compared to net profit of Rs 11,151 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 35.3% to Rs 161,652 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NLC India, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 18.4.
