NEWGEN SOFTWARE Gains 3%; BSE IT Index Down 0.0%

NEWGEN SOFTWARE share price has zoomed 3% and is presently trading at Rs 948.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 35,696.5 .

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT index today are Oracle Financial Services (up 0.5%) and INTELLECT DESIGN (up 0.3%).

LTIMINDTREE (down 1.9%) and Mphasis (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, NEWGEN SOFTWARE has moved up from Rs 324.2 to Rs 948.0, registering a gain of Rs 623.8 (up 192.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved up from 29,174.5 to 35,696.5, registering a gain of 22.4% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were Oracle Financial Services (up 149.1%), INFIBEAM AVENUES (up 112.1%) and Birlasoft (up 102.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,508.9 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Indusind Bank (up 2.4%) and ICICI Bank (up 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,574.9 (up 0.1%). Indusind Bank and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,228.5 to 77,508.9, registering a gain of 14,280.3 points (up 22.6%).

NEWGEN SOFTWARE Financial Update...

NEWGEN SOFTWARE net profit grew 31.7% YoY to Rs 1,053 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 799 million a year ago. Net sales rose 23.0% to Rs 3,753 million during the period as against Rs 3,051 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, NEWGEN SOFTWARE reported 7.3% increase in net profit to Rs 1,763 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,642 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 25.0% to Rs 9,740 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NEWGEN SOFTWARE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 52.9.
