NELCO Gains 7%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 2.6%

NELCO share price has zoomed 7% and is presently trading at Rs 985.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 70,423.2 (up 2.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are Bharat Electronics (up 5.5%) and BHEL (up 5.3%).

TIMKEN INDIA (down 0.7%) and Lakshmi Machine (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, NELCO has moved up from Rs 703.2 to Rs 985.0, registering a gain of Rs 281.8 (up 40.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 47,002.7 to 70,423.2, registering a gain of 49.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were HINDUSTAN AERO. (up 127.4%), Bharat Electronics (up 119.3%) and Siemens (up 109.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,371.4 (up 1.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 4.1%) and Infosys (up 4.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,490.0 (up 1.1%). Bharat Electronics and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,958.7 to 80,371.4, registering a gain of 15,412.7 points (up 23.7%).

NELCO Financial Update...

NELCO net profit fell 32.5% YoY to Rs 38 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 57 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.7% to Rs 826 million during the period as against Rs 767 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, NELCO reported 19.2% increase in net profit to Rs 237 million compared to net profit of Rs 199 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 2.2% to Rs 3,203 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NELCO, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 111.6.
