NAGPUR POWER Plunges 8%; BSE POWER Index Down 0.2%

NAGPUR POWER share price has plunged 8% and is presently trading at Rs 168.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,076.0 (down 0.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are TORRENT POWER (down 2.6%) and ADANI POWER (down 0.9%).

Thermax (up 3.5%) and NHPC (up 1.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, NAGPUR POWER has moved up from Rs 68.5 to Rs 168.2, registering a gain of Rs 99.7 (up 145.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 4,011.2 to 8,076.0, registering a gain of 101.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were BHEL (up 268.6%), ADANI POWER (up 184.3%) and Thermax (up 157.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,835.8 (down 0.2%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Titan (down 4.1%) and Asian Paints (down 1.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,274.4 (down 0.2%). Titan and Divis Laboratories are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,479.1 to 79,835.8, registering a gain of 14,356.8 points (up 21.9%).

NAGPUR POWER Financial Update...

NAGPUR POWER net profit grew 29.1% YoY to Rs -20 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a loss of Rs 29 million a year ago. Net sales rose 40.1% to Rs 138 million during the period as against Rs 98 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, NAGPUR POWER reported 240.4% decrease in net profit to Rs -37 million compared to net profit of Rs 27 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 32.8% to Rs 438 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NAGPUR POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -346.9.
