Mphasis Gains 5%; BSE IT Index Up 2.1%

Mphasis share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 3,124.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 42,245.3 (up 2.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT index today are PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 11.1%) and Coforge (up 11.1%).

TANLA SOLUTIONS (down 2.7%) and INDIAMART INTERMESH (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Mphasis has moved up from Rs 2,120.1 to Rs 3,124.7, registering a gain of Rs 1,004.7 (up 47.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved up from 31,255.0 to 42,245.3, registering a gain of 35.2% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were Oracle Financial Services (up 185.4%), Firstsource Solutions (up 107.7%) and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 97.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 80,429.3 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Bajaj Finance (up 5.2%) and Bajaj Finserv (up 1.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,587.0 (up 0.5%). Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Auto are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,571.9 to 80,429.3, registering a gain of 15,857.4 points (up 24.6%).

Mphasis Financial Update...

Mphasis net profit grew 8.0% YoY to Rs 4,233 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,919 million a year ago. Net sales rose 7.9% to Rs 35,361 million during the period as against Rs 32,765 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Mphasis reported 5.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 15,548 million compared to net profit of Rs 16,379 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 3.8% to Rs 132,785 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Mphasis, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 37.1.
