Maharashtra Seamless Gains 5%; BSE METAL Index Down 0.1%

Maharashtra Seamless share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 600.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 30,831.1 (down 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are NMDC (up 2.3%) and Vedanta (up 1.7%).

Coal India (down 4.9%) and APOLLO TUBES (down 0.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Maharashtra Seamless has moved down from Rs 643.5 to Rs 600.2, registering a loss of Rs 43.3 (down 6.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 22,460.5 to 30,831.1, registering a gain of 37.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 113.6%), Hindustan Zinc (up 72.5%) and Hindalco (up 49.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,640.5 (up 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ICICI Bank (up 2.9%) and SBI (up 1.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC Bank and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,257.1 (up 0.3%). Shriram Transport and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,049.1 to 79,640.5, registering a gain of 15,591.4 points (up 24.3%).

Maharashtra Seamless Financial Update...

Maharashtra Seamless net profit fell 37.6% YoY to Rs 1,344 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,153 million a year ago. Net sales declined 5.9% to Rs 11,510 million during the period as against Rs 12,229 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Maharashtra Seamless reported 24.0% increase in net profit to Rs 9,517 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,676 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 5.5% to Rs 54,041 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Maharashtra Seamless, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 9.0.
