Maharashtra Seamless Gains 4%; BSE METAL Index Up 1.1%

Maharashtra Seamless share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 641.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,293.3 (up 1.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindustan Zinc (up 3.5%) and JSW Steel (up 2.7%).

Coal India (down 2.7%) is among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Maharashtra Seamless has moved down from Rs 707.8 to Rs 641.4, registering a loss of Rs 66.4 (down 9.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 21,916.4 to 31,293.3, registering a gain of 42.8% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 106.5%), Hindustan Zinc (up 92.0%) and Jindal Steel (up 57.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 78,423.7 (down 0.5%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (down 3.2%) and Bajaj Finance (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,889.1 (down 0.4%). HDFC LIFE INSURANCE and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,591.3 to 78,423.7, registering a gain of 14,832.4 points (up 23.3%).

Maharashtra Seamless Financial Update...

Maharashtra Seamless net profit fell 12.2% YoY to Rs 2,241 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,553 million a year ago. Net sales declined 15.9% to Rs 12,918 million during the period as against Rs 15,352 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Maharashtra Seamless reported 24.0% increase in net profit to Rs 9,517 million compared to net profit of Rs 7,676 million during FY23. Revenue of the company fell 5.5% to Rs 54,041 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Maharashtra Seamless, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.0.
