MOREPEN LABS Plunges 4%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 0.4%

MOREPEN LABS share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 56.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 40,880.5 (down 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are Divis Laboratories (down 2.6%) and Biocon (down 2.1%).

AJANTA PHARMA (up 3.1%) and FORTIS HEALTHCARE (up 1.4%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, MOREPEN LABS has moved up from Rs 35.7 to Rs 56.0, registering a gain of Rs 20.3 (up 57.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 27,819.2 to 40,880.5, registering a gain of 47.0% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were GRANULES INDIA (up 130.1%), GSK Pharma (up 100.2%) and SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 95.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 79,045.4 (up 0.1%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 1.5%) and M&M (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Infosys.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,157.1 (up 0.1%). TCS and M&M are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 65,401.9 to 79,045.4, registering a gain of 13,643.5 points (up 20.9%).

MOREPEN LABS Financial Update...

MOREPEN LABS net profit grew 147.2% YoY to Rs 362 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 146 million a year ago. Net sales rose 13.5% to Rs 4,552 million during the period as against Rs 4,010 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, MOREPEN LABS reported 62.0% decrease in net profit to Rs 387 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,017 million during FY22. Revenue of the company fell 8.4% to Rs 14,175 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MOREPEN LABS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 26.0.
