Lupin share price has plunged 3% and is presently trading at Rs 2,158.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 43,468.7 (down 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are FDC (down 5.3%) and LAURUS LABS (down 4.4%).

SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 3.2%) and AJANTA PHARMA (up 1.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Lupin has moved up from Rs 1,139.3 to Rs 2,158.0, registering a gain of Rs 1,018.7 (up 89.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 28,508.7 to 43,468.7, registering a gain of 52.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Jubilant Pharmova (up 163.6%), SUVEN PHARMACEUTICALS (up 113.2%) and Glenmark Pharma (up 92.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 83,103.5 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are NTPC (up 2.4%) and Nestle (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and Tata Steel.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,397.8 (up 0.1%). NTPC and Nestle are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 67,596.8 to 83,103.5, registering a gain of 15,506.7 points (up 22.9%).

Lupin Financial Update...

Lupin net profit grew 77.7% YoY to Rs 8,055 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 4,533 million a year ago. Net sales rose 16.3% to Rs 56,003 million during the period as against Rs 48,141 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Lupin reported 332.3% increase in net profit to Rs 19,356 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,477 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 20.2% to Rs 200,108 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Lupin, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 43.0.
