Lupin share price has zoomed 2% and is presently trading at Rs 1,587.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 36,720.0 (down 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are SUN PHARMA ADV. RES. (up 3.7%) and Biocon (up 3.6%).

APOLLO HOSPITALS (down 2.5%) and HIKAL CHEMIC (down 2.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Lupin has moved up from Rs 873.8 to Rs 1,587.0, registering a gain of Rs 713.2 (up 81.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 25,266.1 to 36,720.0, registering a gain of 45.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were Cadila Healthcare (up 90.3%), Glenmark Pharma (up 90.0%) and GSK Pharma (up 82.4%).

The BSE Sensex is at 78,704.3 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Reliance Ind. (up 4.4%) and Bharti Airtel (up 3.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Reliance Ind..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,877.2 (up 0.7%). Reliance Ind. and Bharti Airtel are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 62,970.0 to 78,704.3, registering a gain of 15,734.3 points (up 25.0%).

Lupin Financial Update...

Lupin net profit grew 51.9% YoY to Rs 3,682 million for the quarter ended March 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 2,424 million a year ago. Net sales rose 12.0% to Rs 49,608 million during the period as against Rs 44,301 million in January-March 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, Lupin reported 129.7% increase in net profit to Rs 4,477 million compared to net loss of Rs 15,094 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 1.4% to Rs 166,417 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Lupin, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 37.4.
