LESHA STEELS Gains 5%; BSE METAL Index Down 2.3%

LESHA STEELS share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 25.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 30,818.9 (down 2.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today is NMDC (up 0.8%).

Hindustan Zinc (down 5.9%) and Coal India (down 3.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, LESHA STEELS has moved up from Rs 13.2 to Rs 25.7, registering a gain of Rs 12.5 (up 94.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 22,238.6 to 30,818.9, registering a gain of 38.6% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 110.8%), Hindustan Zinc (up 79.3%) and NMDC (up 46.1%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 63,874.9 to 78,582.1, registering a gain of 14,707.1 points (up 23.0%).

LESHA STEELS Financial Update...

LESHA STEELS net profit fell 33.4% YoY to Rs 8 million for the quarter ended June 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 12 million a year ago. Net sales rose 4.5% to Rs 64 million during the period as against Rs 61 million in April-June 2023.

For the year ended March 2023, LESHA STEELS reported 51.4% decrease in net profit to Rs -62 million compared to net loss of Rs 41 million during FY22. Revenue of the company grew 50.2% to Rs 133 million during FY23.

The current Price to earnings ratio of LESHA STEELS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at -48.2.
