Jindal Saw share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 343.4.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 32,845.8 (down 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE METAL index today are APOLLO TUBES (down 1.5%) and NMDC (down 1.4%).

Hindustan Zinc (up 1.1%) is among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, Jindal Saw has moved up from Rs 190.6 to Rs 343.4, registering a gain of Rs 152.9 (up 80.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 23,655.6 to 32,845.8, registering a gain of 38.9% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 108.3%), Hindustan Zinc (up 59.9%) and Hindalco (up 53.8%).

The BSE Sensex is at 81,208.8 .

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Kotak Bank (down 6.5%) and Indusind Bank (down 2.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,799.2 (down 0.2%). Tata Consumer Products and Kotak Bank are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 66,428.1 to 81,208.8, registering a gain of 14,780.7 points (up 22.3%).

Jindal Saw Financial Update...

Jindal Saw net profit grew 31.5% YoY to Rs 4,685 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,563 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.9% to Rs 55,719 million during the period as against Rs 54,662 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Jindal Saw reported 252.6% increase in net profit to Rs 15,929 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,518 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.3% to Rs 209,577 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Jindal Saw, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 11.7.
