Jindal Saw Gains 4%; BSE METAL Index Up 0.4%

Jindal Saw share price has zoomed 4% and is presently trading at Rs 315.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL index is at 31,503.8 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE METAL index today are Hindustan Zinc (up 4.0%) and Coal India (up 1.9%).

APOLLO TUBES (down 1.8%) and Vedanta (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Jindal Saw has moved up from Rs 206.3 to Rs 315.5, registering a gain of Rs 109.2 (up 53.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE METAL index has moved up from 22,292.0 to 31,503.8, registering a gain of 41.3% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE METAL index stocks during this same period were Vedanta (up 117.9%), Hindustan Zinc (up 95.3%) and Hindalco (up 52.0%).

The BSE Sensex is at 80,085.0 (down 0.4%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Sun Pharma (down 1.8%) and ICICI Bank (down 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,394.8 (down 0.3%). Cipla and Dr. Reddys are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 64,112.7 to 80,085.0, registering a gain of 15,972.4 points (up 24.9%).

Jindal Saw Financial Update...

Jindal Saw net profit grew 31.5% YoY to Rs 4,685 million for the quarter ended September 2024, compared to a profit of Rs 3,563 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.9% to Rs 55,719 million during the period as against Rs 54,662 million in July-September 2023.

For the year ended March 2024, Jindal Saw reported 252.6% increase in net profit to Rs 15,929 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,518 million during FY23. Revenue of the company grew 17.3% to Rs 209,577 million during FY24.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Jindal Saw, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.8.
